That's with the Sigma f2.8 70-200 yes? Looks typical of that - nice and sharp. People don't realise what a difference those extra couple of stops make.
And shutter speed? About right for head on shots mate - gotta get the bike sharp end of story. If you want to lower the shutter speed then you'll need to pan the camera which isn't an option for headons like this.
Looking forward to the next lot
i went for that shutter speed because last year i used something like 1/2500 & it froze the wheels, no motion, very boring.
I did a lot of experimenting this year, very slow shutter speeds on the panning, just to see how they turned out.
I have hundreds, but i think i would need another webpage to show them all
Its easy to see why the faster lenses are costly ...but you must be pleased it ?
Was that hand held or do you use a tripod/monopod?
I am well pleased with it. mind you, my g/f is using my old 200mm lens & she's getting some pretty good shots. something i couldn't do with it last year
This is my best shot so far.
and that was hand held too. pity the rest didn't turn out as sharp.
Great pic !
This new lens gets me really close. plus, theres no place in the world like the TT for getting up close to the action.
Now you just have to lower the shutter speed...
